Building above the garage is a great way to add an extra room to your property.
Technically speaking, the brief was not to move 'into' the garage, it was to move 'above it'. With two grown up boys in the family it was time for mum and dad to reclaim some of their own space. Building above the garage was the answer.
The house had an existing garage and it was our job to extend upwards creating a new en-suite bedroom. A relatively simple project, we turned it around in less than five weeks, adding an extra room to the property and increasing the home's value as well as space. We managed to match the existing brickwork and re-use the roof tiles, the finished extension looks as though it was part of the original building.
The en-suite has underfloor heating and our clients are getting ready to move into their new 'master bedroom'. Building above the garage really worked out for them!
